What a terrific way to sign off the 2019 season by winning the U13 premiership.
Going through a season undefeated actually creates a little pressure when faced with the final hurdle (as the Shoeys found out in the A Grade) but the squad kept their focus and were determined to finish off on a high.
The whole makeup of the season is new for most of the U13 players. Coming out of sub juniors and joining two teams into one, the process is simple, make it united.

This was never an issue, with this group forming a connection right from the start. United was an understatement!
It was a massive season of growth and development by the lads and coupled with a will to work as a unit they were an impressive outfit.
The week leading up to the G.F. was a mixture of nervous energy and anticipation of what could be.
They deserved their shot at the big dance and they justified it with a solid performance.

Nerves were playing their part in the first half and not quite making the most of their opportunities.
The third quarter, however, was as good a quarter they had played all year and set up the result.
A massive well done to all thirty lads that were part of U13s and creating history by being the first U13 team to win a premiership for the mighty Falcons.
Well done to the A Grade boys and better luck next time to the U17.5s.
